The Ballad of Sarta Rapida

The world is dying. But then there came a voice.

It was a balm to the souls destined to join the world in its cold, silent grave. It sang of love and loss and joy and heartbreak and things consigned to a time before the awful knowledge of the inevitable doom to come.

And the rapturous crowds flocked to the voice. The fortunate few were allowed to serve it. Those blessed were even allowed to know the voice. To love it and be forever changed by it.

Now the voice has come to Galgenbeck, its devoted followers trailing in its wake and they in turn draw to them the curious from among the city’s youth. They clamber over one another in hopes of glimpsing the voice. Their numbers grow every day.

You have been pressed into service by an Inquisitor of The Two-Headed Basilisks. This idolatry must be brought to an end.
